Bont
offers the option of semi-custom and full custom cycle shoes.
For information on full custom shoes click here.
We can easily solve minor problems like wide or
skinny feet, long second toe, flat feet, one foot bigger than the other,
skinny ankles by creating a semi-custom shoe. We have also had customers request a totally flat base to
mount the cleat in the middle of the shoe instead of the ball. All these
are easy for us to do.
For semi-custom shoes all we need is a foot
tracing, once faxed to us the appropriate modifications are made to one
of the existing lasts so that the shoe represents the closest possible
fit without going for a full custom shoe.
Please
trace your foot following exactly the following steps.
Please trace your foot
following exactly the following steps. The fax machine occasionally
changes the size of the tracing so we need you to put measurements on it
for us as you will see below. Then when the fax arrives, all we need to
do is double check the measurement you gave us to make sure it matches.
 |
- Please print out the BONT foot tracing grid paper from
the link below. Make sure you click “NONE” for Page Scaling
option. Otherwise the grid might not have the exact
measurement. Use your ruler to check that the page has
printed out in the right dimensions. If it’s correct, go on
to the next step.

- Stand with one foot placed either vertically straight or
diagonally across the paper if your foot is too large to fit
vertically. See below examples.
|

[Example 1] |

[Example 2] |
-
Hold a thin black pen in
a vertical position and trace right around the foot. Do not try to
make your feet bigger or smaller with the pen.
-
Place the other foot on
the paper and trace around it in the same way.
-
Draw lines perpendicular
to the extremities of the outline (ie longest toe, end of heel - for
both length and width) and straight lines between these points.
Measure the distance between points and complete the appropriate
fields.
-
Be sure to complete all
the fields to avoid delays.
-
Fax the tracing to RED
Distribution.
